Who We Are

The Center of Media Psychology and Social Influence (COM-PSI) operates at the intersection of communication, psychology, sociology, and health sciences. We are particularly focused on designing and evaluating: (1) effective methods to correct misinformation; (2) entertainment-education interventions; and (3) messages that utilize emotion and affect to motivate prosocial behavior. Located at Northwestern University on the 17th floor of Abbott Hall in Downtown Chicago, the COM-PSI research team includes graduate and undergraduate students, as well as faculty and a number of industry partners that help us turn research into practice.
